Training offered by the Association

Our Association is offering a six-week classroom/coffee shop based beekeeping beginners course. This will commence on Tuesday 23rd January and continue through the next five Tuesdays culminating on Tuesday 27th February. Time 7pm-9pm.

Various subjects will be discussed from a variety of hosts/speakers.

Our venue is Coppice/Langley primary school, Trinity Road, Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield, B75 6TJ.  The cost of the course will be £20 per person. Numbers are limited, so initially we will be offering places to all trainees and new members of 2017 on a first come first served basis, opening up to others on the 16th November.

Please email James Mundye to confirm a place.

Beekeeping Experience Day

One of our well respected and experienced members is offering a Beekeeping Experience Day. This will be hosted by Bernard Diaper who will give you a fascinating insight into the world of bees, including how beekeepers look after them, what goes on inside a hive and how honey is produced. Wearing protective clothing supplied, you will be able to open a hive, handle frames and observe bees.

This event will only take place between April and September.

Come and try our Beekeeping Experience Day costing £65.00, or why not give it as a wonderful and exciting gift to that someone special.
