Apiary meetings

We meet regularly at our association to inspect the bees in our apiary and catch up with important happenings during the week. It’s a great opportunity to compare how your hives are performing with others as well as getting invaluable advice on any situations that crop up.

It’s a sociable gathering that involves beekeeping, news announcements, tea/coffee/biscuits and continues in the local pub for anyone that wants to partake.

May has been a busy time for all with the glorious weather and swarm prevention and control, however, we were blessed by some additional unexpected visitors to our apiary.

In our (fortunately!) unused observation hive, some eagle eyed member spotted some activity from adult birds and, upon further investigation, we found a new little family to observe.

It really goes to show that our association is a friendly place to come and visit for all!
