Apiary tidy up – working party

We just wanted to say a big thank you to all who came to the apiary working party on Saturday. Many hands make light work and with glorious sunshine and over 20 people working, we soon got through our list of jobs.

These included erecting fence posts, painting the beehouse and storage shelving, hedge cutting, cleaning equipment, clearing the solar wax extractor site and constructing a new base and a general clear up of the apiary grounds. We even squeezed in a little beekeeping! With members generously providing hot and cold drinks, biscuits and even sausage and egg rolls, our first day back in 2025 in the apiary was a very happy and successful one.
