The 8th of March saw a great turnout of members arriving bright and early at the apiary for our annual spring clean-up.
Everyone worked incredibly hard tackling a wide range of jobs to prepare the site for the season ahead. Brambles were cleared to open up the car park and create additional space, fence posts were repaired, equipment was cleaned and stored ready for use, and new hives were treated. The grass was cut, hedges trimmed back, and leaves raked and cleared, leaving the apiary looking tidy and ready for the coming beekeeping season.
All of this impressive effort was fuelled by delicious breakfast sandwiches, cakes and plenty of tea. A huge well done and thank you to everyone who came along and contributed to such a productive morning!
