Association BBQ

Our annual association BBQ took place on the evening of 17th with record numbers in attendance. An excellent feast of burgers, hotdogs, chicken, salads and desserts all finished off with a bowl of local strawberries and cream was had by all. 75 members, family, friends and dignitaries gathered in our training apiary in Sutton Park to enjoy the social event of the year. New for this year was an auction for a beekeeping experience in the company of a committee member of their choice which raised £100 and a kindly donated gift which raised £65. These along with our ever popular raffle raised a magnificent £400 for our chosen charity Bees Abroad.

Our thanks go to all our members who gave up their time to help make this event happen and in particular our husband and wife cooking team of Bob and Diane who have donned the chefs hats for as long as we can remember. Our thanks go to all our members who gave up their time to help make this event happen and in particular our husband and wife cooking team of Bob and Diane who have donned the chefs hats for as long as we can remember.
