Basic Bee Exam 2023

Basic Exam Results 2023

This year we had five people go for the Basic exam. The Basic test is a practical test to show the beekeeper has the basic skills and knowledge to progress to be a beekeeper. It’s a 30 Minute practical exam and a 20-minute chat about swarming, pests / diseases, and general beekeeping topics. The exam took place on the 26th of August. They started at 10am and went on till 4:30.

The day started off bright but deteriorated and we had showers. In fact, some of the Students had to stop the practical as it was raining so hard. Students returned to the Bee House and had the conversation, then back to the practical. So it was a long hard day.

The Results came out today and all 5 were successful and passed. Some of  these students were awarded credits. Very proud of them, well done to all of the below!

The five are in alphabetic surname order

Juliet Fletcher, Simon Gniadkowski, Lee Greatorex, Leonie Williams, Charmaine Stint
