On Sunday 2nd October Sutton and North Birmingham Beekeeping Association supported the Fort Shopping Centre BuzzFest event. Giant stilt walking insects, accordion playing ants and an array of friendly bees entertained shoppers whilst we educated. Our observation hive proved to be the star of the show with a continuous flow of questions from a fascinated public. Children learnt about pollination of fruit, life inside a hive and where honey comes from. It was a very enjoyable day and thanks go to all of our members who helped make it so.
