Our final winter talk was a quiz delivered by one of our members – Lee. Teas, coffees, cakes and snacks were provided to give extra brain power – thank you to Alison and Jo.
We were divided into random teams by each individual selecting a Queen marking pen out of a bag which then indicated the colour team you were on.
Picture rounds were placed on the table which indicated various diseases that impact honeybees. High pressure to get these correct!
To further test our bee keepers knowledge, there was also a round of questions that were selected from the BBKA’s Modules 1, 2 and 3.
Other round included Films, TV wives, Food & Drink and General Knowledge.
Congratulations go to Aaron, James, Alison and Fiona who were on the winning WHITE team. The prizes for first place were Thorne’s vouchers and the booby prizes for the YELLOW team in last place were bamboo Queen cages.
Thank you to all involved for not only a fun evening testing our knowledge, but more importantly, a lovely way to spend an evening socialising as an association.
