The Fort Shopping Centre Eco Festival

Thursday 27th July saw Sutton Beekeepers once again support The Fort Shopping Centre Eco Festival. With a steady flow of visitors to our outreach stall, honey sales were excellent and we were able to donate £50 towards the Fort’s chosen charities.

Bees fascinate children and with schools broken up for summer we saw many eager youngsters trying to find the queen, talk about the importance of pollinators and all things bees.

They all went home with a taste of our bee’s labour, an “I’ve seen the queen” sticker and a smile on their faces.
