Apiary Opening

Our Apiary opened on Saturday 6th April for our first meet up and maintenance sessions. We split into a few groups and diligently undertook our activities. These ranged from hive inspections, grass cutting/strimming, bramble cutting, frame making, shed clearing and general cleaning and tidying. The weather behaved which meant we were able to complete a lot of the chores that are essential alongside beekeeping.

It was nice to see so many people turn up and give some time to the apiary and association and also exchange stories of their plans for the coming season.
